Do you believe in guardian angels?
Sara worked in an all night petrol station, she often finished in the early hours in the morning, and took the same route home, through the park. Her mother did not like it when Sara chose to walk this way home, there was no lighting or a proper footpath to follow. Sara always complained to her mother it was the quickest way home, instead of going all the way round. Sara had been walking this route, for nearly two years now and nothing ever happened to her. Sara would have never told her mother that the park held a handful of people with no homes to go to, they never did bother her anyway, even though some of the people were well known for stealing and other petty crimes.
On a cold dark morning Sara was making her way through the park, huddled in her coat, she made her way to the clearing, were she new, the people in the park would be, ether asleep or huddled round an oil drum used to flue a fire, walking at a brisk pace, Sara glanced up, to see more people, and lots of activity going on, people with clip boards, and cameras pointing all around the area, she did wonder what was going on. This activity carried on for the next couple of weeks, every morning the same thing.
On the second week Sara was walking home again, but this time she was approached by a smartly dressed man, Sara found out he was a reporter, for a television network, and was doing a documentary, of the people in the park. They talked for a while, the man had seen Sara every day since he had been their, and as it turned out he had been talking to the people of the park about her, he was confused to why they never bothered her, young girl on her own, in the middle of nowhere really, it puzzled him a bit, especially when he had heard the reason Sara was never bothered by anyone, in the park, the man had asked the question, why don’t you bother that young girl as walks thought hear every morning, she looks an easy picking, every reply he got told the same story, would you touch her with them two big men walking aether side of her every morning?
