The beheading of a passenger on a Canadian coach line.

If the bus does not move on, that means it has stopped to be refueled or something more serious has happened. That is what the passengers would think when they got on the bus and were about to travel across to another province and get on with their lives. But one bus had a number; an odd number that no matter how many times it was changed and the vehicle refurbished it seemed to carry an evil omen that would affect the passengers. They would never be the same.

One can’t help but wonder how the people who witnessed the beheading were affected; after all they had to witness the nightmarish holding of the head on an abandoned bus in the middle of nowhere on a dark road.

Their savior, a truck driver remarked about how he would be turning his head now nervously when seeing something as troublesome as had then. One female bus rider has recurrent nightmares now where she relives the event outside the bus, unable to see anything civilized in the way the murder unfolded. Another rider admitted to be less talkative now when he walks around in town, not knowing who could be as shifty as the schizophrenic person who had to kill his victim and then ingest his eyes. It was straight out of a horror film if not worse.

Apparently police took their time coming to the scene and disarming the man who had already violated his victim’s body. We are slow to react and the family still wants justice even though the assailant is mentally deranged.
