In the land of Altonia, a boy slave discovers newfound powers within himself, but they seem to come with a dark and evil past. The key to this past seems locked away in his devilish nightmares, and when a man and his warriors suddenly appear and bring carnage to his town, he must defeat the soldiers and seek revenge. This is the first part in what I’m hoping a long and fruitful story. If I get good reviews and you want me to continue, then I will.

Prologue: ”Long long ago, there used to have existed on this planet an eighth continent; Altonia. A land filled with mystery and wonder, it held many secrets. What is this you say? There were always only seven continents, and you have never heard about this Altonia. True, most haven’t heard of Altonia, in fact, only a few others including myself know about Altonia’s existence. You see, Altonia was destroyed in great battle of fates and hatred, and was forever cast from history and time, a void in this world never again to be refilled. It all started with a slave boy who discovered incredible power, you see……ah, there I go on again, the ramblings of an old fool. Here, sit down in this chair, I have some tea boiling in the kitchen; let me go fetch it, but first, I will begin my tale from the beginning……”

Heroes Untold: Heat! This punishing radiation from the sun that stifled all life in the open, applying an invisible pressure undefeatable. The sun cast these rays so brutally, as if this yellow emperor commanded all that stand in its presence to bow down before it. The sweat originated on the boy’s forehead, then running down his neck, under his ragged, beaten shirt, to crawl down back and over his chest, and finally depart his body as it fell to the ground, drop by drop. The sweat continued to run and fall, run and fall with the viscosity of flowing water, a cycle never ending as long as the boy worked in this wretched heat. It was insane to work in this weather, but then again, slaves did more than their share of insane things. Marxus was a slave, he’d been one as long as he could remember, and expected to be buried a slave, he saw no other outcome in his life. He worked in the wheat fields, shearing stalks of wheat from sunrise to sunset, and even then after the taskmaster’s whip had finished cracking at their wretched backs, the piles of bundled wheat still had to be put away. “What are you doing there boy!” the taskmaster roared at Marxus “Daydreamin’ are ye, well I’ll give you something to daydream about!” and once again applied his dose of superiority manifested in a leather cord on Marxus’s back. Marxus winced, the pain jolting him back to reality, and he hastily continued his work as the taskmaster continued on, looking for more prey to bully. “Look at him” Marxus sneered to his friend Reith once the taskmaster was out of earshot, “Give Wille a whip, and suddenly he thinks that he’s important”. To this Reith replied, “Aye, and he used to be one of us. You’d think that he’d show some compassion, at least knowing what we all suffered through when the last taskmaster was around”. “Yeah, but the last one I have to admit was much worse, twenty times the villain that Wille could ever be” Marxus continued, “It did us all joy when Terith did away with him, rest his soul”. “That Terith was a fine worker, and friend” Reith reminisced “But that Raouel just pushed his buttons too far, he should have…”. “Shut up!” Marxus abruptly halted his friend mid-speech, “Wille’s coming back this way”. Wille made his way to the center of the masses of working slaves, and bellowed at the top of his lungs for all to hear “Alright boys, drop whatever it is that you have in your hands, and line up!” The slaves took a minute or two to digest the strange command, until Wille threatened, “Move it damnit, or I’ll see to it that your backs will never know normal again!” This got the feet moving.
