An ordinary teenage girl who has been talking on msn with ‘her friend.’ When she finds out bad news, what will happen?

Most people think talking on msn is just for fun and not harmful at all. Think again.

Rachel is an ordinary 13-year-old addicted to make-up, guys, and msn. What she doesn’t know is that all of the A’s she gets won’t help her in a situationshe is going to be put in.

“Mom! Can I go on my msn account?”

“Yes, dear. I’m going out.” Rachel knew that her mom was going on a date and leaving her home with no supper or anything! She didn’t really care though, she could chat all she wanted on her msn.

“Beep” went the computer when Rachel logged on.

“Would you like to add I’m_your_worst_nightmare_DIE!@hotmail.com” Rachel laughed at the name and pressed O.K thinking it was her friend Ryan who said he got msn that morning.

“Hey whats up?”

“Hi.”

“So how was math class?”

“Hell, I hate math!”

“No you don’t, you love math!” Rachel typed confused.

“Ya, I used to.”

“Oh…”

“Ya so what are you doing tonight?”

“Mom’s out on a date and I’m home alone.”

“Really?”

“Daddy is going to come soon though, but I really don’t want him to.”

“Why not?”

“Geez, Ryan its almost as if you don’t know me!”

“What are you doing tomorrow night?”

“Baby-sitting.”

“Cool, where?”

“3172 Main Drive”

“Cool, see you there.”

“What?” but before Rachel could answer he logged off.

“Hi Daddy!” Rachel said running into her fathers arms.

“How are you darling?”

“Great. I love you so much.”

“It sounds as if you won’t ever see me again.”

The next day at school Rachel ran up to Ryan. “I didn’t know you hated math.”

“What, I don’t I love it.” Rachel laughed

“Just pulling the wool over my eyes, Weird convo last night.”

“I wasn’t on last night.”

“Isn’t your e-mail I’m_your_nightmare_DIE!@hotmail.com?”

“No, its Ryan_Rules78.”

That night Rachel was scared while babysitting, who was she talking to the other night? Why would he say I’ll see you there? All of these questions flew by in her head. I’m going on msn, she thought to herself. Since she was already asleep she could do anything she wanted.

“Hey Rachel!” Oh no its him again! Rachel thought scared.

“Who is this?”

“Don’t worry about it, I’ll be over soon.” He logged off.

Rachel got up and paced. She checked the door, locked. Checked the windows, closed. Suddenly a loud knocking at the door. She paniced. The Police! She dialed 911 and waited patiently until someone answered, “This is 911. Would you like…” but before the lady would could finish Rachel interupted, “Police! Quick!”

Instantly after that a bold voice answered, “This is constable Fern. How can I help you?”

“I was on my msn account talking to a stranger. I told him him where I was baby-sitting and he said he was coming over!”

“Calm down. Has anything happened?”

“Someone knocked at the door.”

“Is it locked?”

“Ya, and same with the windows.”

“Do you want someone to come over?”

“Yes.”

“We’ll be right over.” Rachel hung up and sighed feeling a little more safe.

A loud shattering sound behind her made her terrifyed again. She slowly turned her head to see who was there.

No one.

“Where are the cops?” Rachel asked herself silently. She walked over to the window and closed the curtent. She turned to see a man, holding a block of wood. He swung at the side of her head. Rachel fell to the floor groaning in pain. She noticed he had a gun in his pocket. She kicked at his legs, trying to make him trip, but he dodged easily. She tried to get up but her head hurt too much. He stepped on her stomach.

The sirens of the police car came roaring down the streets. He took his foot off her stomach and ran out the window. And shot her…

“The bullet has been removed!” A voice yelled. Rachel opened her eyes.

“What?” Rachel asked confused.

“You’re fine. You just need to heal.”

Msn is supposed to be a program to chat with your friends. Never give out information like Rachel did, it could put you in a lot of danger. There are people in the world as sick as that man. Stay awared and watch who you talk to.
