Hiccupping Newsreader – The Show Must go on

An Aussie newsreader has made headlines of its own this week – after struggling through a case of hiccups which raged as she made a bulletin.
Kate Wilson had a hiccup at least 20 times in the report on Melbourne station 3AW 03:00 local time.
But she never gave up and fought throughout the end of the show for three minutes.

The broadcast

Wilson said she was naturally embarrassed, but he had a job to do.
She said: “I had a minute and a half before I went to the air and they (gasp) come on I was just concentrating on getting through it – there was no one another to read the news ..
“I discovered that if I swallowed and tried to burp and hiccup at the same time it seems to help.”
Her hiccups drew sympathy on Twitter, including from U.S. TV network ABC veteran broadcaster Mark Colvin.
He tweeted: “This happened to me once fortunately it was in 1976 and thankfully there are no recording ..”

So a big well done to the news reader here. She acted like a true professional.

Listen here – it is very funny.

LMAO… Just listened to this and I was in hysterics. I don’t know how she did it, I’d be crying if that was me.

You can only imagine how funny it would be if the news wasn’t so serious. So why so serious? I am kidding I know why.
