I hope you are not modest, or this may ruin your day…

Alright, here’s the deal. Since no one likes to just spit this stuff out in understandable English, then, allow me:

You know those body scanners that they are working on putting in all airports? Well, that was just the warm up. Those fun little machines are using terahertz technology. At the time of their inception, the best they could do is scan within a few inches. They can see through almost anything, but only at very close range. That’s why they built the handy dandy little booth to put people in at the airports.

This new technology is basically the same technology, only on crack. They are no longer limited to a “few inches”. Through testing and development, they were able to make it infinitely better. At first, the technology was limited due to the signals deteriorating from moisture and other factors. Now, through the use of lasers and the terahertz waves, they are able to bounce the signal, negating the deterioration affect. So, theoretically, the body scanner technology is now point and shoot and can be affective for hundreds of feet or even miles away. They already know for sure that it works up to 67 feet, because they achieved that in the test lab.

A lot of people think that these machines are not only humiliating, degrading and the largest invasion to privacy that ever existed…but they may also be deadly. A substantial rumor about terahertz signals having the ability to mess up DNA is still making its rounds on the web. Because this is unprovable at this time, I will leave it at that. However, as a young woman that has self respect and has made an effort to keep my naked image away from strangers, I find this horrifying. If I had daughters, I’d be mortified and beside myself with rage. The past year of fake and foiled terrorist plots, have been strategically implemented, in order to fully embrace this technology, as fast as possible.
