A crater the size of a cricket field is in the centre of the square. A Nazi bomber must have been aiming right for it. Strangely, the bomber must have wanted to avoid a house, or an apartment, in order to hit the courtyard square. Maybe the Nazis have their good Samaritans as well, the woman thinks, but it’s more probably that the bomber wasn’t considering the cost of civilian casualties.

The buildings all around the courtyard are still intact. The crater in the courtyard must have been dropped there with the intent of destroying a crowd of people. Few could speak of the terror of the past evening, prior to today.

Now, three weeks later, the Fuhr’s army has moved in to the Britannica, and German gun-ships have the Americas and Africa in their Machiavellian scopes. The question for Germany, at this critical juncture, concerns military support from the countries under occupation. Could the German Chancellor rely on French and British military support? The other question for Germany is this: even without such military support would the country be able to take over the world because of their apparent military superiority? The German Panzer tanks and Blietzkrieg tactics were state of the art military weapons technologies and tried and tested tactics. Then, for a third concern, Hitler, the infidel, must consider the character of the world as a nation-state. What would a world wide Nazi regime be? This is Germany’s biggest question as they realize the possibility of world domination. Undoubtedly, they would not have the culture necessary to keep the world from sinking into a dark age.

In the context of the 20th century, the main argument, on the level and status, or power, of the nation state, could be this: how much power does the government need, could citizens form an ideal country without a central bureaucracy, and therefore, is government actually needed at all for the existence of the entity of a nation-state? Surely, no one could believe government is not necessary, for how could anyone communicate across vast distances. Government is logical, and Germany, as the Nazi power, hopes to promulgate itself into a Nazi, world bureaucracy. The world, then, if Nazi Germany succeeds, would militarily, ideologically, and systematically, be the Fuhr’s new, global Reichstag. Undoubtedly, such a Nazi world would be a world of Gestapo terror, sub class peasantry, and bureaucratic control.

In the twentieth century, people began to protest, for example in Brazil, the very existence of government, and formed egalitarian factories with no central management. Given the historical records of governments, that is kingdoms, dynasties, and republics or federations, as well as religiously controlled bureaucracies, people can only with difficulty blame bi-partisans for anti-establishment sentiments and their protests against the establishment, protesting mainly against the policies of nation-state governments and the rule of world-wide bodies, such as the UN. That is the possible new nation state, but protesters could protest for their beliefs. Even before the Second World War, analysts predicted that defeating Germany was a worldwide mandate, unfortunately only some countries cooperated to defeat Germany and the Axis of Evil. The worldwide Nazi Germany would be an opaque, totalitarian regime, for what can result from usurpation and enforced assimilation?
