The Mysterious person

            I was an average man with a pretty good life. I had a good wife, good job, and not much in debts. I was on my way to work one day when my boss said I was going to Las Vegas to do some important work. Could it get any better? On the day of my departure I said good bye to my wife and went up on the airplane. I was ecstatic to start working. When I got there the fun started from the beginning. I was put in a 5 star hotel and enjoyed my life like there was no tomorrow. Little did I know what was in store?

            One day my friend which I haven’t seen in what was like decades invited me to go to a casino. At first I hesitated, but he convinced me and with the luck I kept getting I decided to try. At first I was winning some good money. Not too much because I didn’t want to risk anything big. Then I decided to go for some big money. I won a few and lost too but I didn’t lose any profit since I came here. So I decided to take a risk and double the stakes. I lost, and kept on losing. Every time I lost I kept telling myself I’ll get it back if I double the stakes. Soon I found myself going so far that I was almost risking everything I owned! I had lost everything!

            I walked back depressed and all worn out. A few days later I was back on the plane heading home. I didn’t feel like sleeping. I didn’t know what I was going to do. When I went back home my wife greeted me. I pretended to be happy. The next day I woke up and went to work. Nothing could make me feel better and day after day it got worse.

            Then one day while I was walking back home a person stepped in front of me. He said “Hey do want to make money?” I looked at the strange person. He was wearing a dark grey suit. I took a small step back.
