This is a short three paragraph essay about how Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit feels about adventures. From the start to the end.

At the end of his interesting adventure, Bilbo has realised that adventures after all aren’t that bad. He went through some crazy times and crazy places and surely had to do crazy things! But after looting a massive amount of treasure from Smaug’s cave he considered differently about everything. For example, at the start of this twisted adventure he didn’t want to have anything to do with adventures. He says “adventures… I shall have nothing to do with them.” But Gandalf doesn’t like Bilbo’s decision so he still insists on him going.

After being forced into going into the adventure the other night. He wakes up to a messy hobbit hole and a note under the fireplace. Then with Gandalf barging into his hobbit hole he reminds Bilbo “you only have ten minutes, you will have to run.” As this shows how disorganized Bilbo really is. Finally they meet at their assigned destination. This is where you find him carrying a backpack that is clearly way too big for him. They make their journey up to the mountain is when Bilbo starts to actually enjoy what he would call ‘torture’. He adventurously ventured around the lonely mountain to seek an entrance that no one would see. As he remembered Gandalf saying “well I should say that you ought to go east and have a look around.”

Finally everything is done and Bilbo is back home at his hobbit hole where he is relaxing one sunny afternoon. As the story nears the end Bilbo recalls this as a holiday. This is seen through him calling his memoirs “there and back again, a hobbit’s holiday” but soon enough Gandalf is back seeking another adventure goer to join him on his next mysterious adventure….. But no one knows exactly what the adventure is. So we should be able to find out in the next book. The story from here on gets expanded and explained more deeply with the hobbits on a great party.
