There are qualification or consideration before a person become a leader. Sometimes a leader was chosen base on his achievements, ability and self motivation.

Being a leader is a good merit to yourself because others are trusting your capability. You are also showing them a good example so they will respect and follow you. There’s a saying: 

“It’s easy to follow than to be followed”

Not all your followers are faithfull andhonest with you. Whatever you do to make your team or country to be a better one there some who are criticizing you at your back. At some point they are pulling you down and their own business.

It’s very important for a leader to have fighting spirit, patient, respect, understanding, open and with good moral in dealing among others.
