What did they do to this beautiful creature, so full of love. Where were those playful eyes, that I use to look into when she was here. What have I done?

Here is Scooter chilling on my sofa, at Figgys’ Castle. We were all blessed to have crossed paths with such a unique animal, to be able to share a month of our lives together is the best thing that has ever happened to My Scooter Baby.
The woman want her back for observation on June 18th 2009, she felt that perhaps I was running Scooter too much, and her rough playfulness was too much for Scooter to handle. I could not believe what I was here, Scooter was happy, and thriving, she came to me at 28 pounds, and on June 19th, 2009 she weighed in at 34 pounds. Everyone gains weight at Figgys’ Castle; and Scooter was no exception. Then I went to visit her today, July 3, 2009 because the woman who brought her to me way back in May asked me to visit.
She told me that Scooter had lost weight and was not behaving properly; she went on to explain that after I had dropped her off, Scooter went on a hunger strike. While Scooter was on a hunger strike, the Veterinary clinic felt that being that she was over a year old that she should be neutered, felling it was the best thing for the dog’ she agreed.
Now it appeared after the surgery that Scooter was now, not only not eating but was withdrawing from the playfulness she use to enjoy with the medical staff.
So I headed west to visit “this woman’s best friend”, and trying to prepare myself for what I would see; my worst vision did not come close. She was totally emaciated and totally unfriendly, not in a growling way, but in a withdraw way. She peed all over the place when she saw me, but since the door did not open, I think she realized I was there just to visit. I tried to feed her chicken baby food. At first she totally refused, but after attempting to sneak a little in between her lips and gums, she started to suck on my fingers. Sometimes she licked and sucked feverishly as if she was starving; then she seemed to catch herself. She would stop eating and turn her head away; I felt as if I had betrayed my best friend since I was the one to took her to this horrible place.
