Naomi loves kevin so much. But one day Kevin didnt reply and dont even talk to naomi. after that day Kevin still dont talk to her. Naomi got sad and think that Kevin wants to have break up. Naomi is so sad until now and dont know why it happen and why kevin do it.
One month. It had been one month since Kevin had answered her calls. one month since she had seen him at all, not counting when she passed him by on her way to her next class. Naomi sighed, ignoring a lone tear that traced a wet line down her cheek. She plopped down on her bed and cracked open her diary. Her last entry was blotted with tear and ink stains.
Dear diary,
What did I do wrong? Kevin won’t talk to me, won’t even look at me! He knows how much I love him, but he keeps crusing my heart, again and again. I thought he said he loved me too, that he would do anything for me like I would for him. It’s just so….
Here the entry ended in an angry line scrawled across the rest of the page. Here was were she broke down completely, loosing any semblance of control that she had. Like he did now. Naomi screamed away her built up frustration, anger, and addness that had built up, clutching the book to her broken heart, drawing her knees up to her chest. Her mom dashed up the stairs, a broom in hand, scaning for intruders. She relaxed and mooved to confort her daughter, when she saw it was only her.
“Oh darling,” she saind, running her fingers through Naiomi’s dark curly locks, “There will be others. Don’t let this idiot drag you down. He didn’t deserve you. Not at all.”
Naomi cuddled closser, her cries having long died down to the occasional wimper. She sniffled and looked up.
“How can you be so sure?” she sounded so vulnerable and weak, it broke her mother’s heart.
“Well, how do you think I met your dad. Certainly not by sticking with the jerk that said he loved me only so I could his homework for him. You know,” She said thoughtfuly, ” maybe you should go see Kevin one more time, straighten things out. And maybe give him a good sock in the face while you’re at it.”
Naomi straightened up a bit and looked at her mom.
“I think I will.”
“That’s my girl.” Naomi’s mom tousled her hair.
“Dinner will be on the table by the time you get back. i hope you like pizza.”
“Thank’s mom.” She tried to smile, but it didn’t quite reach her eyes.
*************
Naomi stomped determinedly up the porch steps leading to the Davonik household. She took a deep breath, held her fist up to the door and knooked. At first there was no answer. she waited, and finaly, Kevin’s aunt, a plump and kind lady, answered the door. Not who she expected, but hey, it was beter than nobody at all. Naomi donned her sweetest smile.
“Mrs.Parker, I’m looking for Kevin. Is he home right now?”
The lady returned the smile with her own. “Oh no deary, he should be at the movies with his lovely girlfriend. Sarah I think her name is.” Mrs. Parker looked at her watch. “Oh, they should be on their way back soon.”
Naomi clenched her teeth and made a mental note. I’ve got to remember to break Sarah’s nose to if I get the chance.
“thank you, Mrs. Parker.”
The door closed behind her as she hopped onto her green beach bike and rode to the theaters.
**************
The parking lot was packed at the cinema. Probably some new cool movie came out today or something. Naomi thought absentmindedly. She parked her bike next to a pole, and scanned the place for Kevin and Sarah, that later of the two she had yet to meet.
It was not eactly hard to find them, though they were in a shadowed corner of the lot that smelled suspiciously of moldy hotdogs, soda, and dead rats. The lovey dovey words and kissing sounds gave them away. she marched straight toward them, and interupted the two, who were in the middle of yet another kiss.
“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON, KEVIN!” Naomi was on the verge of having a rampage that not even the military could contain.
“Look, babe, I can explain.” He held his hands up in a peace jesture. Sarah was looking between the two, clearly confused.
“What’s, what’s going on?” Sarah asked timidly. The two ingnored her, both focused on the other.
“Explain…how, how, can you explain this!?” she waived her arms around her crazily, jesturing to Sarah, who now had her mouth hanging open.
“I, ung ,uh-”
“If you wanted to break up with me, you could have just said so. Instead, you have to be such a damned coward and cheat!” She closed her eyes and took one long, deep breath. In a quieter voice she added, “I loved you Kevin, and you betrayed me. How could you?”
“Honey, I’m sorr-” In three strides, Naomi was right in front of Kevin, and she punched him. Hard. The solid crack of bone breaking was followed by a howl of pain, and many curses on Kevin’s part.
“It’s over Kevin. If you ever think to talk to me ever again, I promise I will…” She let the threat hang, and turned crisply on her heel. The girl stalked away and hopped onto her bike. In a strange way, Naomi felt beter. Sure, she had broken up with the only person she had ever loved, but like her mom said, there would be another. And he would be much beter.
Soo, definetly not my best, but thst’s what happens when you get a middle school girl to write about a girl with a broken heart. Oh well…
