In 2033 Professor Steven Parsons had cracked Time Travel!
I want to see the President
The humming in the basement laboratory was getting louder by the minute. Steven Parsons removed his white lab coat and sat on a small office chair. Susan his assistant was in tears she pleaded with Steven’
“Don’t do this Steve I beg you, please don’t go through”
Steve stood up and removed his shoes. He stepped into wooden hand made clogs. Steve replied to Susan,
“Susan what have I been working on for 17 years? You have assisted me in the last 10 years. You got your qualification through me. I’m going to go through with it in 5 minutes no argument no debate”
Tears gently rolled down Susan’s face she sunk her head into her hands and wept freely. Steve turned on the video camera which was mounted on a tripod. He cleared his throat and said directly into the lens,
“Today is October the 30th 2033. My name is professor Steven Parsons. For the last 17 years I have been working on the theory of ‘Time Travel’ I have constructed a Time Machine and it works. I have sent test animal subjects back in time. I invented a unique transponder that works allied to the test subject’s heart beat. The 9 test subjects signals are coming through loud and clear. This leads me to believe the animals are alive and well. They lack the knowledge and motor function skills to work the Transponder and return to my laboratory. This is why the only way forward is for me to attempt time travel. ”
Steven waved to Susan to come into camera shot. She said,
“I am Susan Rogers I am a qualified ‘Physics Technician’ I have Honour’s degrees in Exo Physics and Biological Transformation. Whilst I have assisted Professor Parsons I am totally against this experiment. The professor’s logic is sound and I believe he will travel back in time. However will he live? I can’t say”
Susan moved out of camera shot and picked up her Cell phone. Steven grabbed her Cell phone and smashed it on the ground. Steven said,
“Susan I’m going through. If you try to stop me I will lock you up in restraints”
The humming noise was still growing. The lights in the lab dimmed as the 3-phaze electrical power demands grew. In the centre of the lab there was a transmitter pad. The 2 foot square pad began to glow an iridescent green. Steven stood on the centre of the pad and watched the analogue clock unwind to 12pm.
