A 60 word story.

Lucy expertly fried a large batch of pancakes. She’d eat a few now and refrigerate the rest to consume later.

She filled three with warmed anchovies, liquorice and diced cherry fudge. ‘Can be served with either a sweet or savoury filling,’ the cook-book claimed. How boring, she thought, at five months pregnant she was going for the third option.

    Vixen Valerie, I believe you’re American, so you’d know it as licorice (assuming you’ve heard of the stuff at all – it might not be very popular outside the UK).
