Political Fantasy.

Let’s pretend fo a moment that the American people, By and large, were not a apathetic— just for a moment.  They would all be well read, eager to “get involved”, non-complacent individuals who could recite, from memory, the constitutional basis for each political argument they put forth.  They would be civil in demeanor and almost complimentary about their opponents views because their opponents would also be free thinking, civil, knowledgeable folks.  Everyone seeking common ground, consensus if you will.

           What a beautiful picture.

If and when that time arrives we can all sit down and ar our differences and maybe, just maybe cure the ills of this, once great, country.  There are a lot of people who feel that time has come.  that we, as responsible humans must demand an end to in fighting, back biting, and political correctness so that a real dialogue may occur among the citizenry.  If we are all afraid to say anything because we might offend one simpering little group of another, then how can a dialogue begin.

It is time to get real! it is time to speak out! it is time to be unafraid and open the mouth of freedom and let it shout to the mountains of our God given right to say what is obvious, but sacrosanct to the politically  correct.  Until or unless we are free from the fear of political correctness, no dialogue will ever begin.
