I was working at my mother’s office one day and one of the assistants, Evelyn,she told everyone a sad story and got us  crying. It started when she told me, “I am studying medicine because of my daughter.” “She passed away when she was nine.” She told me that her daughter had died from a 

mosquito-borne disease. Her daughter’s name was Alyssa. Evelyn also has a son. The son also had a mosquito-borne disease. In the hospital, Alyssa was getting worse from the disease, her son had been getting better. So they put them in different rooms. Alyssa soon passed away and her son did not know.

They could not tell him because they were afraid they would lose him emotionally, as he began getting worse. But soon he was healed. “It’s okay, at least I have a guardian angel now, she guards me.” Evelyn said to me. She told us that Alyssa wanted to have her birthday party at an orphanage. So Evelyn, after Alyssa’s death, had a party at the orphanage in memory of Alyssa. After telling us the story I saw tears in her eyes, but she kept smiling. I saw love in her eyes. “I have to be strong.” She kept telling me.
