It was the time that all foreigners who lived here in Gwangju city had a community day.

Gwanju International Community was the most unforgettable events of the year 2010, as it celebrated every year and enjoys the different activities held during these events. You can experience different costumes and cultures of different countries because they also participate and attend the said events. There are different activities held, and this event marks the history of Gwangju foreigner’s life that experiences how this event made successful.

Even though it was my first time to attend the GIC and experience the best event of the year, I feel how this event marks the history of Gwangju city and how the people are united not only from one country but also other countries that became part of the event that is celebrated every year. Among countries who participates the events are; Mexico, China, Shri Lanka, Vietnam, Nigeria, Greece, Philippines and etc. Every participants had their own booth which they can displayed and show their product.

I was surprised and amazed by the different food on the tables as it is served and prepared by every country who participates in the events. There are different specialties and delicacies of different countries as they represent their own pride. Every places has its own booth where they can show their different products including delicacies and specialties, it was my pleasure to experience this event for the first time.

There are different activities where you can enjoy your whole your family, love ones and friends. There are different singers, dancers from different countries participants that rock in roll the events. Among the activities that held during the events and the most interesting part that my teacher told us was the actual making of  beer and baking of different breads inside the convention center, but sad to say I was disappointed for not being there. Because of the big crowds of people, and the lack of time, I was not able to watch it and even not able to get inside the convention center, though I still have no regrets because I still enjoy the events.

Being a new member of GIC (GWANGJU INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY) I hope that I can volunteer and do some part to help the events more successful. Next event will become more interesting and more organized more activities and fun to experience. Well I hope so.
