About a young girl who befriends a talking Unicorn, and travels to the make-believe land of Felanzia.
They flew through huge gold gates that read “Welcome to Felanzia”. Felanzia was like nothing Isabella had ever seen or dreamt off in her life. To her right Isabella could see five fairys laughing and flying around a massive chocolate fountain. They were having a chocolate fight, throwing the melted chocolate at each other and eating big marshmallows covered in yummy chocolate. To her left Isabella could see a huge stage, lit up and a dance floor covered in feathers. A group of Elves were dancing and watching a male Elf singing on the stage. They were all laughing and clapping their hands along to the music.
“Wow this is amazing!” said Isabella. “You wait til you see where I live” laughed Sky. Ahead of them was an enormous palace. It was multicoloured, the door was pink, the window frames were green, the roof was orange and the fence around the palace was blue. As they got closer to the palace Isabella started to realise that the palace was made of sweets ! Isabella was really, really hungry now. She licked her lips as she saw a gobstopper for a door handle, and a letter box made out of chocolate. Sky landed on the grass, and Isabella climbed down. “Help yourself to something to eat!” Sky laughed. Isabella did not know where to begin. She scooped up some grass, and tried a little. “Yum apple flavoured candy floss!” she exclaimed.
Sky knocked the door to the palace, while Isabella was eating a piece of blueberry flavoured cake that she had tore of a fence panel. A large unicorn appeared at the door. It was Sky’s Mother. “Oh my, its Sky, its Sky !” she called back towards the palace. “Shes home, shes home !” Sky’s Mother said. “We thought we would never see you again ! we have been so worried, we didn’t know how to come and get you, the rainbow disappeared when you left!” Skys Mother sobbed. “We had no way of rescuing you, there was no way off travelling to Earth without the rainbow, we thought we had lost you forever !” Sky’s Mother shrieked. Just then another large unicorn appeared, it was Skys Father, and lots of smaller unicorns appeared at the door. “Sky, Sky!” they shouted. “Are you ok? Where have you been? What happened to you?” Sky’s cousins asked.
“Its a really really long story, I will tell you all about it over a nice warm cup of tea and a peice of cake. This is Isabella, my friend. I met her on Earth. She helped me to get home”. Sky said. “Oh my, how can we ever repay you?” Sky’s Mother asked. “I am just happy I helped, I have had the most amazing day of my life, I have seen some incredible things but now I really just want to go home to my Mom and Dad. Its my birthday you see, and they will be wondering where I am”. Isabella said. “Very well” Skys Mother said. Sky turned towards Isabella and smiled “I will never forget you Isabella, you are very kind and you are my friend, I shall miss you”. Sky said. “I will miss you too Sky, thank you for the best birthday ever” Isabella said.
Skys Mother sprinkled some magic dust over Isabella’s head. Isabella closed her eyes and when she opened them she was standing back in her garden. She looked around but the rainbow had disappeared. It was still raining and Isabella stood shivering for a few seconds, wondering if she had imagined it all. Isabella ran towards the house, and went inside. Her Mom was in the kitchen washing the dishes. “Mom, Mom a magical rainbow was just in our back garden, and a little unicorn called Sky fell off it, she was lost and I had to help her get home to the magical land of Felanzia where she lives, and she lives in a palace made out of sweets! And, and…..” Isabella said but Mom interrupted, “Oh my Isabella! your imagination is on top form today, how many sweets have you eaten?”. “But Mom, I’m not making it up, it really happened, I promise” Isabella said. But Mom was busy watching her tv show on the small tv in the kitchen and didn’t seem to hear Isabella.
Isabella went upstairs to her bedroom, and lay on her bed. She smiled as she remembered her adventures. “I will never forget you Sky” Isabella said out loud, and then closed her eyes and smiled as she dreamt of Felanzia.
