This is my life ,I am not complaining, don’t pity me ,feel sorry for me ,or get upset, because what you see isn’t always what you get.
Hi, my name is average American housewife, and this is my story. On the surface you see a stay at home mom playing with her toddler, and trying to communicate with her preteen ,on any level, but ,what if we take a closer look?We see a 30 something woman that worked hard all her life ,waited until she and her husband and daughter were financially stable before having baby #2,then when she was 7 months pregnant her husband lost his job because the new manager had a problem with the husbands dad..(not fair I know but then again who ever said life was fair)So now with another mouth to feed the husband is now unemployed, and they have no insurance, but here is a silver lining(medicaid,YAY medicaid)the baby will have prenatal and regular health care and so will the preteen. So the husband draws his unemployment benefits and tries desperately to find a job that pays as much as his old one, with no success,he starts working for a family friend while looking for a more permanent position elsewhere.Well we go forward in time his unemployment has run out and the only jobs available right now are the (do you want fries with that type)and entry level minimum wage clerk positions.Neither are enough to pay the bills,so the house her daughter was born in is totally theirs free and clear(no mortgage)their vehicle is also paid off thank heavens,But they can no longer live in their home, and get very behind on their utility payments, and believe it or not the bill collectors are calling night and day but one in particular calls and upset the housewife he tells her she is a deadbeat for not getting a high interest credit card to pay off their debts(does this make sense to anyone out there?)because it really didn’t make sense to the house wife.Is this considered a good financial move by anyone ?Pay all your bills off and owe way more for your troubles. Now that’s a great financial move hahahaha. So now they have to move in with the husbands parents, this is supposedly a temporary arrangement but 2 years go by and they are still there, most of the past due bills have already gone to collections and are just about paid off, they spend all their money on food and necessities, and have no savings anymore. But,take a closer look, yet again and what do we see,a family so tight that nothing can come between them,a housewife with the renewed faith that really can move mountains ,they own nothing but have never been happier or more secure in their love for one another, a husband that takes pride in his job even if it doesn’t provide any extras,or luxuries, in their lives,it does mean food in the family’s tummy’s and a warm bed at night in a very cozy(somewhat crowded)home with the people that really are this family’s whole world. The children are happy, well adjusted ,well cared for, and immensely loved.so really what is the point of this story? To make you feel bad to have been so blessed ?To make you think about how bad things happen to good people? To let you know that everything can change in a second and take away every material thing ?No .The point to this story is,yes bad things happen, but really don’t give up you have way more than you think you do ,faith hope love and family really are the most important things,to lose everything doesn’t make you a victim ,only you can do that ,but it does make you humble, and if you are humble blessings will come to you.
