My next edition in the on going series about Jake Taide – a fictional serial killer

Once again Jake was hold up in a hotel room somewhere in the country. He didn’t even keep track of where he ended up any more. He was always strung out on some kind of drug which he enjoyed to the extreme. Or as we all know he was killing somebody. His full intentions this night was to be a good boy, stay in his hotel room and just have a peaceful night.

Jake wasn’t surprised when he saw a broadcast on the news about a couple of his murder victims. The police weren’t letting too much out. The one thing he they did let out was that they thought the murders were done by the same person even though they were miles away. Jake just smiled. He had made the news and for him this was reason to celebrate.

Jake decided to order some pizza and beer delivered to his hotel room. He really didn’t feel like going out tonight and when he decided something he usually stuck to it. Jake was going through his drug stash pretty quickly. While he was waiting for the pizza to arrive he dumped out the contents of the duffel bag to see what he had left. He figured he had enough for about a week. Maybe ten days if he was careful. That brought another thought to his mind. He was going to have to make some sort of drug score pretty soon because at this point he knew he couldn’t be with out them.

He was startled by a knocking at the door and for a quick second he went into panic mode before remembering about the pizza. When he answered the door there was a buck tooth kid standing there. Well Jake figured he probably wasn’t a kid. He was probably about 20 years old and with his looks he definitely had no girlfriends. He looked like a hillbilly kind of guy who dated his own sister. Jake took the pizza and came back with money to pay for it. At that moment Jake thought this kid would be better off if he were put out of his misery. Jake had to think quickly.

Jake gave him a 20 dollar tip and an extra 20. He told him to come back after he was finished delivering his pizzas. He told him to get some more beer and they would party. The kid got excited. It was obvious no one had ever asked him to party before. It was too bad that after tonight no one would ever ask him again. Jake shut the door and the kid left wearing a smile just like a 3 year old in a candy store.
