Tricks and brain mashers are always fun to play with your friends. I use them everyday with my friends at church, and we duke it out on who’s the smartest out-wit. You can have your own contests and practical jokes with these Jedi Mind Tricks

1. Black Magic

Objective: Find out how the “Jedi” can read his confederate’s mind. note: The Jedi is you.

Preparations: The Jedi’s helper and the Jedi must know the trick. The others cannot.

How to play: The Jedi moves away from the play area. Then, one of the other players whisper any object into the helper’s ear. Let’s say, that the player whispers “Popsicle”. After, the helper calls the Jedi back. He says “Is it the tree?” The Jedi says no. “Is it the grass?” The Jedi says no. “Is it the black jaguar over there?” The Jedi says no. ”Is it the popsicle he’s holding?” The Jedi says yes. The Jedi read his mind with the trick I’m about to tell you.

Trick: Its got to do with black objects. Whenever the helper says a black object, its the object after. Ex) ”Is it the tree?” No. “Is it the black shirt?” No. ”Is it your sneakers?” Yes!

Here’s a scenario of the game.

“Yo dawg. We wanna play some black magic.” said my friend.

“What is that?” I replied, “Some kind of magic show?”

“Naw. Its just a game where you try to find out how I read my bud’s mind.”

“Okay. Lets see how you do it.”

“‘kay. I’m going away so you can whisper something to Roy’s ear.”

“Anything?”

“No. Just an object.”

“Okay.” My friend walked away, and I whispered “Dog.”

“Come back yo!” Roy yelled. My friend walked back, and sat down.

“Is it the roof?” Roy asked.

“No.” said my friend, almost immediately.

“Is it the table?”

“No.”

“Is it your black sneakers?”

“No.”

“Is it the brown dog?”

“Yeah.”

“How’d you do that?” I ask my friend. He shrugged and said

“Find out.”

“Let’s do it again.” I said, determined to crack the code.

2. What the heck? Adding.

If you chose 4100, you’re correct. If you got 5000, here is the reason. In your mind, you thought that when you added the two digit numbers, they transformed to 1000 automatically. You must be thinking… WHATT?! Look it over. Then you will probably beat yourself up for getting a problem like this wrong.
