A story about a person called John, who develops a passion for writing.
Now, only working 6 hours a day, he wasn’t going to be able to live by that. And even though he still had a strong passion for writing, he can’t write for it until he has managed his job. He needed to sort this out now. His current work hours, 10 to 4, 6 hours a day, isn’t nearly enough to go by on.
He immediately drove to his work, and explained his situation. He was begging for extended work hours, but was denied. There was a constant demand for work in the area, and not enough workers. If there was ever a job open, it would be filled in quickly, and the hours he was previously working were already filled in.
John was now jobless, unlikely to find work in his area, and soon broke. He had $4,000 in his bank, which will provide him with sufficient cash for about another month. After that, he won’t be able to afford to pay rent, and will be forced to sell his car and all his possessions. He begged some more for work, but they weren’t going to budge.
He immediately bought the newspaper, and searched for work. The only job he could find that he was qualified for was a dog groomer. With no other options, he accepted. He got a job at the dog groomer, which wasn’t so bad. In fact; it payed better than being a cashier.
He applied to be a full time dog groomer, and got accepted. He quit the work at the grocery store. The pay wasn’t bad, and he didn’t mind dogs, he thought the job was pretty under rated through other people’s eyes. He worked slightly different hours from his previous work, 10 to 8. He arrived home at 8:20, exhausted.
He was watching T.V, restraining himself from the computer, so he didn’t have to endure what he did before. He gave in, and pressed the computer on button, sealing his fate. He wasn’t going to become a hardcore writer again, and altar his job times because he had a sufficient income. He told himself to never change his job routine as long as he’s managing with it, regardless of what happens. And he did.
He did some light writing when he came home from work and maybe some when he woke up. He stuck with his promise and never altered his work time. This experience had taught him something, never rely on something online.
