A true story of childhood friendship, and how years later the memories are fresh.
Jon and Sarah grew up together during their earliest years. They played together, and were altogether good buddies to say the least. Jon had a bit of a mild disability, which Sarah never even seemed to notice. Jon was grateful for this in fact, since many OTHER people, that’s all they seemed to notice.
Well, the years passed all too quickly, and Jon and Sarah lost touch after a while. Jon however never forgot the girl who showed compassion to him, and he missed her quite alot. Well recently, Jon got news of Sarah and discovered that she is living well in California.
This put a smile on his face, as you can imagine. Despite the years and distance, there are some people in your life that leave an indelible mark. If you miss someone (and your typing fingers aren’t broken) look them up. In the age of the internet especially, there is no excuse NOT to keep in touch with the precious ones in your life.
“Long Lost” should not even be in your vocabulary. If you enjoyed this story and it inspired you to seek out someone you have lost contact with, then be sure to click the like button.
In case you are wondering, YES this is a true story, and I felt it worth sharing.
Thanks everyone who stopped by to read.
In case you wonder, since my readers know me as Jo Nathon, which is the proper pronunciation of my name, as a kid I was called Jon (since nobody bothered to tell me the proper pronunciation of my name until I was grown, and my mother forgot to mention it to anyone, or to hyphenate or space it properly for that matter.) I used to introduce myself as Jon…no it’s not a typo, there is no H.)
I added the spaces where they should have been all along, but in those days Sarah knew me as Jon, and this piece is dedicated to her.
With Everlasting Love & Friendship, and my Eternal gratitude.
