miss Xian: i can see some of you are reading the christmas story, maybe we should start from the homework i gave you

Brooke: oh no let’s do something else [Brooke speaking silently]

miss xian: brooke is that silent night you are reading

miss xian: not at all miss xian

miss xian: come in front of the class and read your homework dear, come on don’t be shy

brooke: i can’t believe this i’m the first person she call [ she whisper into nathan ear]

nathaniel: ha ha ( nathan laugh quietly) don’t worry nobody in class will have a better story than you have

    [brooke stooped her head forward, she get more confident with every steps she takes, she probably rely on nathan statement]

brooke: hello everybody, the title of my christmas story is christmas in my house

        [ when brooke finish reading the story everybody in class sees it as pretty much close to what they wrote, the normal good and sweet christmas story with gift]

Miss xian: well brooke your story is good to some extent, but to me personally i feel the story sound cliche to my ear

     [ all the student murmur, that's the first time they came across such word]

miss xian:how many of you know that word cli—che [ she stress the word]

nathan: cliche means an archaic word

miss xian: no that’s not what it means, anybody else; well when we say the statement or word sound cliche we mean it has been used too often when something is used so often it will no longer be interesting to hear such prase or word. i’m pretty sure when you get to senior class your teacher will teach you more on your vocabulary

          [ miss xian gaze around to call another student forward to read]

miss xian: nathan can you come out and read your homework?

brooke: good let us see how she feel about your unique story

        [nathan story make the whole class sober for a moment]

nathan: so what i want for this christmas season is just another christmas song, thank you

miss xian: wonderful, i must say nathan you did justice to that story, but i’m concern you said your dad is lackadaisical about christmas
