A assassins last job.

Alex lay there in the snow holding his rifle steady while counting the men on the ridge of the mountain straight across from the mountain he was on, a little less than a miles distance between them. His spotter, whom he didn’t know was telling him what the wind was and helping judge the distance.

He sat there wondering how long it would be until their target would show up. Even through all the briefs reviews the time was almost always off on every mission he had been on. In many missions it almost cost them the kill or kills. But Alex had never messed a mission up, he had always come back with the kill, kills, or information.

As he lay in the snow keeping warm from his gilly suit and cold resistant gear he had on underneath it he wondered idly if this would be his last mission, he kind of hoped it would be. He would get home or to one of his safe houses and finally settle down for a while. He had the money, oh there was no shortage of that after all of the jobs he got. Maybe he would start up a family, he doubted it. He was getting tired of the job, he was the best at it hands down. But after a while the job got to him, on co-op missions he would have to get rid of the spotter in case somehow the spotter knew something about him he had killed at least five of the last seven or so. Every now and then he would get tired of the death and having to know he may die. But the rewards were too high to give up.

The spotter hissed under his breath and Alex looked up to see a convoy of helicopters coming towards the ridge across from them. It was go time. The spotter re did the distances and wind readings. Everything was exactly how it needed to be. Their target, a German arms dealer, was coming out of one of the helicopters. He was obviously wearing a bullet proof vest and had body guards swarming the area to make sure there was no danger. Well trained men by the look of things. The vest made it certain he would have to go for the head shot. He breathed slowly and calmly as he took all this in through his scope.
