The NBA has had many great players in its years. These greats range from Larry Bird, to Michael Jordan, to LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant. But these last few years another superstar has arrived: Kevin Durant. Not only is Kevin my favorite player, but he is also my hero.

            One reason I admire Kevin Durant is because he always tries his best. He gets many rebounds every game, which is amazing because of his size. When you watch one of his games, you will see him diving for loose balls. These are one of the many reasons I admire Kevin Durant and always will.

            Also, Kevin Durant is always trying to improve. Kevin Durant is known for going to practices hours early and leaving hours late. This shows he is trying to improve. Kevin has also gotten a lot stronger than he was last year, gaining almost thirty pounds. He also has improved in his speed. Even though he is already very fast, he cut off fifteen seconds on his mile. Kevin Durant has improved a lot lately and his team is now in the NBA Conference Finals.

            One reason I like Kevin Durant is because he is very successful. In the 09-10, and the 10-11, seasons he led the NBA in scoring. He even has his own brand of Nike shoes called KD Zoom. He has won the H-O-R-S-E competition two out of two tries. He even managed to go pro in his sophomore year in college. Kevin Durant is successful and will be, for a long time, one of the best in the NBA.

            Kevin Durant is my favorite player because he is one of the greatest in the NBA because of these reasons. I also like Kevin because he went to one of my favorite colleges: Texas. And he plays for my favorite NBA team. Kevin Durant will one day win the MVP award for his hard work.
