Wow anyone who has teenagers has to know where I am coming from. I think as years have passed so has there ability to drive parents crazy. I also think as years have passed so has a teens courage and idea that they know better than parents do.I know my hair has gotten allot greyer lately and my nerves oh that’s another story. Though I am writing this all in fun parents can relate I am sure. My 14 year old told me last night I just do not understand people her age. My 16 year old thinks I am her child and wants to raise me. She is also the one I am teaching to drive right now and wow thats about all I can say about that is wow. The entire time I am out teaching her to drive and trying to tell her things to do different than she is she wants to tell me I know what I am doing already. I told her then why do I have to go through this teaching you to drive thing. The DMV should have just passed you through and said here is your licence you already know how to drive.I am laughing so hard as I right this but believe me at the time its all happening I am ready to cry. They use to say you did this or that when you was my age,now they say I am not like you I would not do the things you did.Wow right in my face. Sometimes I like to play this little trick on them because they never want to take time to talk to parents so I pretend the electric has gone out and I turn it off at the breaker and then there is no TV or lights. That gives me time to actually get to know them better and they don’t even know the power really works.Thats how I get quality time. It is all in fun but I do enjoy it. Here is another good one, they wait to get to 12th grade and then say I am so sick of school I want to quit. My reply is Ya me to I am sick of working and paying bills to keep a home I want to quit to.I just told one of them the other day that this is not even the beginning when your out of school you get to work the rest of your life,She said I would rather do that than go to school atleast I will get paid. Amazing I tellya they know everything. To communicate with them you must own a cell phone with text messaging or a computer because they totallydo not believe in actual talking. But I will say I do love my teens I just thought this would be fun to write about and I am sure any one with a teen can relate.
