Short story of two teddy bears left alone in the house. One who is neat and clean and the other who makes a mess everywhere…

“Good morning, Jessie.” Mommy said, as she sat gently on her bed.  “Are you ready for you first day of school?”

Jessie popped up and smiled. She got dressed, grabbed her teddy bears and headed to the kitchen for breakfast.  “Lionel and Curtis will like going to school with me.”

“Oh, I’m sorry sweet heart you can’t bring them with you today.”

“Why not?”

“Teddy bears don’t go to school, that is just for you.”

“But, I want them to come!”

“Maybe one day you can bring them to show everyone, but not today.”

“Awww…they will be lonely.”

“Don’t worry; you won’t be gone too long.”

“Okay Mommy.” Jessie took her bears to her room, kissed them on the head and placed them on her bed.  “I’ll be home soon.”

Jessie and Mommy left for school. The lock made a loud “CLICK” in the empty house.  Lionel eyes blinked, and he looked around.”Where did she go?”

Just then Curtis jumped up, and began bouncing on the bed.  “Where did everybody go?”

“I think they went to a place called school.”Lionel answered, trying to hold himself in place.

“School, what’s school?” Curtis bounced off the bed and onto the floor.

Curtis was a very playful bear. He loved to bounce around, dig through stuff and make a mess.  Lionel was a quiet bear, he liked things neat and clean.

Curtis was digging in the toy box, tossing toys over his shoulder.  Lionel carefully climbed down off the bed.

“Stop making a mess!” Lionel said picking up the toys.

“I’m looking for something.”  Curtis replied tipping himself into the toy box.

Lionel dropped an armful of toys in the box when Curtis yelled out.

”Aha!” He had a pony on a stick.  He galloped around the room, “Giddy up! Giddy up! Giddy Up!” and down the hall.  Lionel hurried to clean up and ran after

“What are you doing?”Lionel said sternly.

“I’m looking for food for my pony,”
