Little Short Story I made while looking at a picture I saw on google.

27/1/10    The Last Time They Saw Him

Around four O’clock p.m on a Saturday was the last time they saw him. Three days before the photo was taken, he was on his way home from work. While he was on his way home he had received a phone call from an unknown number. He had answered the call.

“Hello,” said Samuel.

“Hello,” said Unknown Caller.

“I would like to inform you that your wife and daughter have been killed in a suicide bombing,” said the Unknown Caller.

The phone was silent, there was a long pause. Samuel had by then stopped the car and pulled it over to the side of the road.

“Whose calling?” he asked but there was no reply.

“I’m sorry for your loss.”

The Unknown Caller had then hung up the phone and had left Samuel there staring into the sky. He was shocked, he couldn’t believe the news he had just received. It was around ten o’clock when he finally managed to drive his way back home where he did not find his wife and daughter waiting by the door to greet him with cheers and laughter. He stood there at the entry way of the house. The thoughts that were running through his mind were unbearable. He didn’t know what to do or what to say. He thought about going to the TV set and turning it on to see the latest news but there was not one thing about any bombing in Forks, Washington. He was frozen in shock and had walked to the corner of the dark room and watched as the cars pasted by. He tried to call his wife’s number, but all he had gotten was the answering machine. He went to the police station and filed a missing persons report, but it was no use. There was no sign of his wife or daughter. The police had promised him they would find his family, but he knew in his gut that it was no use. Two days passed and there was no sign. He was slowly falling into a deep depression and did not realize it. The next day at around one o’clock p.m he decided he would take a visit to his daughter’s room. On his way there, he was thinking to himself if he will ever see his little angel again. The day of the phone call, his wife and his daughter were supposed to do some grocery shopping and then visit his mother’s house, but plans change I suppose.
