An answer to the Blushing Bride, Artist challenge. This is a tragic love story.

My name is Loren Augusta Renault I am a sculptor and a painter.  Through my work I capture the essence of love, the most wonderful of human emotion and preserve it for all time.  I am blessed to work in the most romantic city in the world, Paris France.  But the story I have today is more tragedy than ecstasy.   For the story is of my own emotion, my own love, my own life and where it ended.

I have an extraordinary talent, I do not tell you that to brag but merely so you understand where I am coming from.  I can capture the human form nearly to perfection, but I also can artistically translate ones soul into the stone.  If you give me a middle aged housewife with love in her heart I will give you a statue that rivals Cupid and Psyche by Canova.  I artistically interpret my subject’s bodies toning and enhancing but preserving their true look so the statues are instantly recognizable by family and friends yet the bodies are more Angelina Jolie and Fabio than true to life representations.  I generally work in clay then cast my sculptures in bronze.  But I am a master with marble and if you have the money and the time I can capture your love in stone, which is truly the most spectacular gift you could ever give your loved one.  This process is a lengthy one it requires months of work, a large block of marble, diamond edged tools, and most importantly a patient model.

The minimum you would pay for this service from me would be one million US dollars.  My prices have not increased in over 7 years but I only accept 1 stone contract per year because of the enormous time and effort each sculpture requires. One of my sculptures actually ended up costing the buyer 4 ½ million dollars.  Which he paid happily, because of a confidentiality agreement I cannot get into too much detail, but an eccentric airline Mogul wanted to capture an orgasm between he and his wife for their tenth anniversary.  It took several studio sessions before we determined she would be more comfortable at home.  I finally witnessed and was able to sketch the perfect moment after an evening of fine red wine, decadent chocolate, the reading of a hand written poem by her husband, and the presentation of a diamond, Ruby and emerald necklace the likes of which I had never seen.  The deep green emeralds matched her eyes, the fiery rubies ignited her red hair, and the diamonds sparkled like her smile.  They had grown comfortable enough with my presence during their intimate moments that they didn’t even ask if I objected or if I needed to grab my sketch book before they began to disrobe in the dancing firelight of their living room.  I quietly found my pencil and recorded the elusive moment as her body plied by wine, chocolate, the scent of burning Mesquite, the comfort of a plush oversized ottoman, a necklace heavy with Jewels, and words penned from the heart, turned the proper combination, unlocking her pleasure and allowing me to preserve it for all time.

If I were not happily married, I would switch my skills from painting to sculpting (I have painted my wife naked before)

This wasn’t a submission, it was a novel. This was a very well written and touching piece of work Brad. I should have been a aritst. All this nudity that they are exposed to is mind bogging. Well done friend.

Please do not encourage my husband to sculpt me naked.. he is slow enough painting as it is.. and I think its intentional (and I get cold easy)

    great story.
