A young girl who’s treated differently, becomes a private eye.
She seemed like someone that could really be my best friend. The time went by fairly fast. We played a few games of twister. As the sun went down. I started getting excided. I think some where deep down in Quin’s mind she wanted to know the same thing I did. Whither or not there was a ghost in this house. She never told me if she had seen or herd a noise.
As time went by and her grandma went to bed. Soon after that her mom did too. It was time for me to grab my flash light. She was standing in the doorway with her pajamas on. She was holding a flash light too.
We made our way downstairs to the basement.
She told me that the door quicks a little so I needed to be careful how I opened it. Looking down into the dark basement and seeing the steap stairs. I turned on my flash light. I took each step real slowly go down. Quin followed me. For how small the house is, the basement was quite big. I walked to an area where there was a lot of dirt. I guess the basement wasn’t totally finished.
We found a few chairs in the corner and sat down. I turned off my flash light. We sat there in the dark. I didn’t know how long I was going to sit here. Things in the house was quiet. Even outside there wasn’t much noise. I leaned the chair close to the wall and waited.
Hours had gone by and nothing has happened. I moved closer to her and went to tell her something and then, I herd a noise. I got real quiet and then, there was the noise again. It was coming from over by the dirt. I got up and headed for where the noise was coming from. In the dark I could hear a faint whisper. It was like someone was talking softly. A little bit less then just a whisper.
I couldn’t see where exactly the whisper was coming from. But, I was close enough to hear it more. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I say a bright figure standing there. I couldn’t see the feet. I knew then, that I was right about this house being haunted. Quin wasn’t to far from me and she was seeing the same thing as me.
