A couple enjoys one another’s company on an autumn day.
She looked down and adjusted her hips. “If you’re asking if I’m going to get off soon, the answer’s a no.” Her soft giggles filled the room. The bed squeaked under our weight. My soft laughter mingled with hers.
“Well good.” My head pressed further against into the pillow, a smile crossing my face. “I’d hate for our game of cowgirl to end this soon.”
“Mmm.” She leaned forward, placing her hands on either side of my head. “You would, wouldn’t you?”
I gave her a cocky grin. “I would, but the question here is whether you can pull yourself off of me.”
“Someone’s rather full of themselves…” Her words trailed off as our eyes met.
There was a moment of silence as we observed each other. She, the small beauty with her face inches from mine, was absolutely stunning. I took in all of her: her facial features, her body, her scent, her touch – they were mine. Perhaps I was wrong to believe as such, but it made me feel good – feel loved. Granted, a bit possessive but she made me happy and I – hopefully – returned the favor. That’s all that ever mattered.
I lifted my head slowly, our eyes still interlocked. Her breath warmed my skin and I felt the longing in her eyes. My lips met hers and I slipped my hands behind her head, pulling her into me.
And again, I was content. I was loved.
