Interview with Marli Laniella.
Simon: So Marli, we know you’re the angel of death, Azrael.
Marli: Well yes, but that’s not my doing. -laugh-
Simon: Oh? Could you elaborate on that?
Marli: Benjamin Synclairre did this…
Simon: How?
Marli: That’s personal. -laugh-
Simon: I understand. -laugh- So tell me a little about yourself, what can we know about your past?
Marli: Well, I was born in the late 19th century in London, England. I was raised in the Synclairre Manor, it was located in the countryside.
Simon: So you were wealthy?
Marli: Oh no, I was a servant since I was a toddler. Though I never did anything when I was that young, I always helped with cleaning.
Simon: Ah, I see. Can you tell us anything about the mark on your neck?
Marli: Ah yes, that mark. -laugh- Well I had a nightmare when I was only about fifteen years old that a beautiful woman was standing over me, suddenly she grew wings and flew over my bed and ran a golden dagger through my heart, I woke up and then the mark appeared, it looked like a mis-shaped bruise at first but then it became more prominent. I went into the library and did some research then I found out that it was a fallen angel that had taken my body as a host. I was afraid so I went to a priest and he helped excorsize the spirit from me, after about 3 weeks, the mark was fading and it was only a light color by then. Apparently, Evangeline had been on a vacation or something because that’s when Ben approached me and killed me. It was terribly painful, he left me there to die, bleeding out my neck. Unfortunately, I had already been granted eternal life from the…incident, but when he bit out that healing mark, a new one just formed and the process was entirely pointless. The mark came back and looked as if it had been there for a thousand years.
Simon: Wow, that’s just…wow…
Marli: Well it’s not a nice story, but it’s my truthful past. Some may say that when you discover a certain belief or adapt a new somewhat “truth” or religion then that’s when you begin living for real. On the contrary, I believe that one’s first breath is realy one’s dying whisper.
Simon: That’s very insightful of you.
Marli: That’s the way it worked for me.
Simon: Well I believe we are probably done here…
Marli: Oh, okay.
Simon: Thank you very much for your time it’s been a pleasure, miss Laniella.
Marli: The pleasure is all mine.
