Enjoy a laugh at my expense!
I went to three different 1 1/2 hour classes all across campus. I also went to an interview that lasted an hour and a half. I told at least three people during the day how I’m taking 19 credits and working three days a week, plus an internship. It all seems pretty busy/potentially overwhelming.. but not even my geology class where the teacher talked about 15 different types of rocks, was the most boring/tiring/frustrating part of my day.
About a week ago when I got into my car, suddenly this large object crashed from my windshield into the foot-well (if that’s the name of the area where you put your feet in the car.) This meteoric object turned out to be my rear view mirror. I didn’t even know that could be an issue. I have no idea what inspired this random object to dislodge itself from the glass of my windshield.. and now I have the daunting task of putting it back up. You may not think it’s a big deal, but that stupid mirror object weighs at least a pound … and it was somehow glued up there.
So I go to Wal-Mart today to buy some sort of super glue that will hold this hefty mirror. I’m spurred even more to solve this problem today because it’s nearing the end of the month… and it just so happens I need to get my car’s yearly inspection by the end of September. A car without a rear-view mirror just miiiight not be as safe. So I look at 14 different types of glue and the final decision comes down to a tube of “all-purpose” glue… or one of those metal tubes of ultra glue that’s so strong it seeps through plastic containers (I guess.) I’m leaning towards ultra-glue when I read the back of the tube and it says “Improper use of this product through inhalation leads to bodily harm.” Sure … no huffing glue. You can eat crayons… not glue.
“According to the state of California this product has been known to cause cancer.”
Really?
Either California is just smarter than the rest of us.. or there’s been some lawsuits there already. Suddenly I feel safer handling plutonium and go with the “all-purpose” glue. I scan the back label and of course it doesn’t SAY whether it works on glass… because ALL PURPOSE pretty much makes it God’s glue on earth.
