Two Scientists enter the Jungle’s of South America in persuit of an Ancient Secret hidden away from the world for hundreds of centuries. Instead what they find and unleash defies All what Man believe’s in Science, Nature and ultimately in himself.
Jack looked down at the Talisman and began to smile again.
Then just as he began to leave, a soccer ball hit him in the foot. A little girl, no more than the age of six ran over to him. He picked up the ball and knelt down, holding it in both hands, smiling at the little girl. Her name was Maya.
Jack gave the ball back to Maya. She smiled wanningly at him, gave him a big hug with both arms so big that she dropped the soccer ball whe she did. She picked the ball back up and ran to her that was waiting for her. Her mother’s name was Pita.
And so it was that Jack Monroe and Selby Bradshaw left the Jungle’s of South America. And even though they may never return they knew things had changed. For better or worse was remained to be seen. But Jack certainly never forgot the people he helped in that village. And he never forgot Pita, or her daughter Maya. The little girl who helped him Change the world.
Jack had come into the lab early, he was dressed in his usuall casual work clothes, denim jeans, work boots and a shirt. He didn’t need to concern himself with wearing suits and tie’s. Since he only owned one suit and worked in a lab all day mostly at a computer terminal.
“Hi Old Fart.”
“Good morning Young Fart. . . . Any new changes ?”
“Nope. Still the same.”
The work he and Selby did during the duration of the week had been pretty mundane. It most often was, but more things were happening now. This worried the company heads more than they liked. And the fact that their top Researcher had such a close relationship with his work didn’t ease the matter much either.
He sat down. Drinking his coffee he took all his paper work from the night before and began reviewing the data again.
Selby handed him his white lab coat and he put it on. Knowing that Jack seldom did anything but review work first in the morning she handed him her work that she had compiled. He sat the paper’s down next to his own as continued to drink.
A brief knock on the laboratory door came. A Man whom Jack and Selby immediately recognized as Dr. J.R. McReady stepped inside. He was their superior, and brilliant in his own field, which made him believe that it was rightfully so. By the smile on his face Jack realized what Joe had in his hand. And he knew that finally, the wait was over.
“We found it.”
“You sure this time ?”
“One hundred percent confirmation doctor.”
Jack paused staring motionless as his papers. Then slowly looking up he focused primarily on what was in Joe’s hand.
“So. . . . . Doctor. . . Are you ready to change the world ? “
