A trip down memory lane.

We go through life in search of a partner we want to be with for the rest of our lives. Soul mates as they are often called. Each and everyone of us has our own story to tell.  Some are comedic, others may be tragic. This isn’t about the complexity of being or getting married as this involves a great deal of understanding.  It’s just about bringing back memories of how you first met your partner and hopefully bring a smile to your face.

I’ve seen lots of romantic movies , thanks to my wife,  and each has their own unique way of telling how the main characters have met each other.  My favorites? Well I may lose my masculinity here but I’d say Sleepless in Seattle and The Wedding Singer.  I know most of you have already seen these but anyway going back to the topic here’s how I met my partner who is now my wifey.

I actually met her under the table. Don’t get me wrong there was no hanky panky thing that went around here. How she’d end up under the table? Well it was like this. We were both  working for the same office. Though I admired her for her simplicity  and beauty,  we hardly knew much of each other. One day  her  friend, Page,  came over to visit her during break time. Both of them being close friends they went around having the usual girls talk about crushes and what have you until she mentioned that she had this thing for me.  When  she pointed out to Page who she was talking about, Page was surprised because she knew me as well.  Wasting no time, Page rushed over and wanted me to meet someone.  And so I obliged which brings us back to scene number one,  her being under the table   which was probably out of embarrassment though she still won’t admit it until this day. And so from that day on we just grew of course with our own share of  intricacies of married life.

Life sure has it’s way of forming our story.  Some say it’s destiny, some say it’s the work of God.  To me it’s both.  Hope you’d be able to share your story..

Maybe your wife should write her own version also hahahah! But seriously, that was a nice sharing. I agree with your last statements. God brings us to the person or He brings that person to our lives. He’s a God of wonderful surprises.
