Iedhul Adha 2007 I headed to Surabaya, Solo and Yogyakarta. Office tasks. I am confident enough to all three cities. Thank God when I was in college, including active in a student organization that has ties to almost all campuses in Indonesia. I will not discuss how my work there. This time there are things that are still remembered to this writing.

Thank God when I was in college, including active in a student organization that has ties to almost all campuses in Indonesia. I will not discuss how my work there. Surabaya

I met a friend, Ario. Airlangga University students last semester. The reception, the service really made the nation proud to be Indonesian. It really is very Java (meaning: very smooth, deft, plus a distinctive accent.) Japanese and English, I think a meal empuknya remember writing on blogs and in his YM status smelled both languages. While in Surabaya, we keep in touch with the Indonesian language. But! Typical, very typical. Like the Malay speak English so he would accented Malay. Likewise with the Ario. He accented the original Java Timuran. Porous. I think it is a beautiful accent, and when merged with the world’s lingua franca English, plus the Japanese language is being learned I imagine it would be a language that is unique and easy to understand society. Surely impact will be more easy to learn and master the English accent with melting into Timuran Java.

Solo

In this city I am not old. And do not stop to stay there. Just stop for lunch after a long journey from Surabaya to Solo with Minibus Travel. What a coincidence near an Islamic school in Solo. Many students who sit at home lunch. While eating I noticed that the tables are put together and filled by nearly one group contains 15 students. England! Yes they are communicating with the English language. Uniquely, once again I find English with an accent typical Solo Original People. Ah, Belle. Sustainable cultural and getting richer, because until the accent lingua franca of the world be applied with a typical accent Solo.

Jogjakarta

Continue my journey. The plan I will stay one night in Jogja. Friends who became head of Yogyakarta branch is ready to welcome. But it was night once arrived in Jogja. So just a little while talking and straight into the bedroom to rest. Tomorrow morning we plan to go to a cottage home caring for orphans orphans Yogyakarta earthquake victims. Sambutanya no different with the welcome given time in Surabaya. There are some students who volunteer there. Yogyakarta State University students. An event at the start. Very Formal. Chairman of the Cottage lecture. Interesting. He inserts his lecture in English. Children cottage spirit. But again English with an accent typical of Yogya.

Of the three places I visited and each one saves a very rich cultural wealth inspires us all how important it is to maintain the characteristic of what we have. Imagine if English Malay (Bahasa Melayu English accent) are well known throughout Asia. And soon there will be Suroboyoan English, English Solo’s, English Jogja’s many dialects and regional languages which can typically be applied to merge English, and I believe that one day Indonesia will get a red thread uniting the typical property from the local dialect which has become an Indo English (I call it that) that will be famous throughout the world like English Malay dialect. In the future we will not be confused with the British or American accent when speaking English, because we were ready to merge Indonesian with English has become rich and easy to master Indonesian Society.

In my family, my daughter cannot speak Indonesian fluently, so everyday we hear her talking Indonesian language with some heavy english accent. On the other hand, some of my other family members talk English with some heavy Javanese accent. Funny.
