What happens when you forget everything?
“Hey, I gotta get to class!” the girl pushed her friend away softly, “Andy, come on, let me go.” “Aw, do you have to go?” Andy asked her, moving closer to her again and running his fingers through her some-what long black hair, “We could always just skip and go to the park instead.”
“You know we can’t do that,” she giggled a little bit, “Even though I totally agree that school absolutely stinks, education is important and we only have to suffer through one more period before Friday is finally–” She was interrupted when the school’s tardy bell rang, immediately she pulled away and started to run past him. “Damn it! I can’t afford to be late again! See ya!” She yelled back to him before she had realized that she hadn’t made herself out of arms reach yet. A hand had wrapped around her wrist and, before she knew it, she was lost in a passionate and tender kiss. When they broke away from each other, he poked a part of her cheek that had turned a little red. “You seem to be blushing,” he smiled as she started to deny, “Well anyway, get to class, you’re already late. I’ll see you later.” “Yeah, ok,” she started, turning around she looked at her watch. “1:10!?!? I am so freakin’ late!!”
She sprinted down the hallway towards her fourth period class and, before she had time to think and push through the door, she ran into the wall right next to the door. “ungh,” she mumbled as she rubbed her head a little, opening the door to her classroom. “Miss Curry, you are late, again.” Mr.Greade said to her without looking up from his book. “That’s three tardies this year which means detention for you,” still not looking up, he grinned. “Detention?!” she gaped at her English teacher until he finally looked up at her. “Yes, detention on Monday. Will that be a problem or will you go to your seat like a good little student?” he put his book down and glance over at her until she smiled and sat down in her desk, front row, third column.
After about half of an hour listening to “The Tales From Back Then” and another half an hour of vocabulary, the class started on their other activities. The small group sitting in the back started drawing and gabbing about “anime”, The larger group in front started giggling and taking their “I-pods” out, sharing gossip and what-not, then, of course, the very tiny group that continued to study. Linn went to the larger group first. “Hey,” she pulled one of the boys away from the group of mostly cheerleaders and football players. He was one of the football players who stayed on the benches and actually got more than Cs, “What do you know about Mr.G?” He hesitated and glanced at Mr.Greade, “Well,” he looked back at her and lowered his voice, “I’ve heard he’s somewhat of a perv, listening to the girl’s recent gossip anyway.” “Is that so?” They both looked over to the English teacher, who was know hiding behind his computer now. “Good work, I owe ya.” The player coughed a little and held out his hand, as if he was expecting something. She looked at his hand, a little aggravated, “Yeah, yeah. Let’s say, 75 cents after school on Monday,” she pulled out the small slip of paper the teacher had given her for her detention and added, “if I can remember.” She was pulled a bit towards the smaller group, the geeks. “What do you want nerd?” Linn pulled her arm away from the girl who pulled her over to her table. “It’s not–! Oh for gawd’s sake, N-V-M!”
She rolled her eyes and then went back to a hyper teenage “fan-girl”. “So, I over heard you getting your bail info from that cutie over there,” she giggled. “Yeah,” she eyed her warily , then smirked, “you got confirmation on his rumors?” “A bit.” “Do tell.” “For a price.” “Name it.” “You get him to ask me to the dance.” “Ew, fine.” “Ok, You know how I got my book taken away on Tuesday?” Linn nodded and the girl continued, “Well, when he did that, he skimmed through and stopped at every page with girls in it, you know, the perverted pictures.” “Yeah, it’s his job.” “Really? Is it necessary to look at those pictures seven times?” “No,” Linn slowly smiled, “no, it’s not” Near the end of the period, everyone was packing up and getting ready to go home. If the classroom could have been any noisier than before, it was. Linn, her face showing her anger, lowered her school tie a little undid the first two buttons on her uniform shirt. The bell rang and everyone ran out the door, except Linn. “Hey,” She put her hand down on Mr.Greade’s desk and leaned into it a bit, “What ya doin?” she said somewhat cutely. “Oh, grades, huh? May I take a little peek?” She leaned over a little bit, her shirt moving to show just a bit of the edge of her black bra,
Mr.Greade started fumbling with his pen, watching Linn closely. “Wow, these grades show a class full of great students. You know what I think?” She asked, slowly sitting on the large desk and crossing her legs. “I think that all the credit for their work is all yours,” she tapped him lightly on the nose and went on, “But if one of your students were to get in trouble, like say,” she gave him a pouty little look and held up the small paper, “get a detention for a silly little thing like say, three tardies, the credit is still.. yours.” “Well, I suppose you’re right.” he said hesitantly, still looking down at what he could see of her bra, “I guess I can’t give that too one of my best students,” he took the paper and ripped it up, “and don’t worry about being late anymore, I’ll just keep that too myself.” Linn smiled and hopped down. “I knew you’d understand,” she said as she picked up her backpack and slung it around her shoulder.
She opened the door and blew a kiss towards the still flustered teacher, then left, letting the door slam behind her. “ Someone’s looking sexy today,” Linn heard from around the corner. She peaked around to see her admirer. “Sarah was complaining on her way out, what took you so long?” “Is cute little Andy getting jealous?” she smirked. “Is it so wrong that he is?” he put his arm around her waist. “He’s suppose to be there to protect his girl, no?” “You’re adorable.” She giggled, redoing the buttons that she had just recently undone and tightening her tie back up. “What’re you doing today?” “Hangin’ out at the park.” “What a coincidence, so am I.” she smiled up at him, as he was just a little taller than she was.
“Hawker! Curry!” A boy was running at top speed to catch up with them right as they were walking off of campus. They stopped and looked behind them to see this sight. “I,” Andy started, but hesitated going on, “I’ve got to go, I’ll meet you down at the park.” “Oh, okay,” She glanced from the guy still running up to them to Andy. He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and darted off back toward the school. “Where’s Andrew going?” The boy asked, watching Andy enter the large, gray school building.
