I thought this was a cute children’s story. I went through a lot writing this. Many many Re-do’s.
One warm and beautiful summer day in August, twelve year old Molly was outside hanging up clothes in
the backyard for her mother, when Mrs. Brownie came over to ask her a favor.
“Hello, Molly. How are you today?” asked Mrs. Brownie.
“I am great, Mrs. Brownie. How are you?” Molly replied.
“I am doing well. Molly, I was wondering if
you would be interested in babysitting the
twins for a few hours today?” Mrs. Brownie asked.
“I would love to baby-sit,” said Molly.
“Thank you so much, Molly. We need to go shopping for the twin’s birthday today because we have been
too busy to do it,” said Mrs. Brownie.
“Can I give you some money because I would love to get the twin’s a gift for their birthday,” said Molly.
“Molly you don’t have to get them anything,” said Mrs. Brownie.
“You being here is enough,” said Mr. Brownie.
“Are you sure?” asked Molly.
“Yes we are sure,” said Mrs. Brownie.
“Your welcome is there anything else I can do to help?” asked Molly?”
“Thank you for asking Molly. Maybe do some cleaning up for me,” said Mrs. Brownie.
“This would be a big help to us. We have been trying to get things cleaned up all day.” said Mr. Brownie.
“I am glad to help,” said Molly.
This would be Molly’s first job. Now the twins Zanny and Manny are five years old. Molly was so happy that
she was asked to baby-sit, that she went to tell her mother.
“Mom, Mrs. Brownie asked me to baby-sit the twins and help clean up for the twin’s birthday party today,”
said Molly.
“Honey that is great news,” said Mrs. White.
