Humorous exchange of dialog between mother and son.

Martha Johnson was busy cleaning dishes when her son came barging into the kitchen.  “Mom, I’m hungry.”

“You’ll have to wait a few minutes.  I’m busy cleaning the dishes.”

“But mom, I’m really hungry.”

“Please dear, just be patient.”

“I can’t be patient. I’m starving.  I want to eat right now.”

“Just a couple more minutes.”

“No! I can’t wait.  I’m hungry!”

“Alright, I’m done cleaning the dishes.  Now I can serve you a nice plate of chopped liver and spinach.”

“Ugh. That sounds awful.  I’ve lost my appetite.  I think I’ll go upstairs and do my homework.”

“Whatever you say dear.  Oh, by the way, I also made sirloin steak and mashed potatoes.  Anyway, go right upstairs, and you can come down to eat in an hour.”

“Gee thanks mom.  I hope my stomach and I survive.”
