After work on Friday, Drozin was called into Bob’s office. 

“Need to see me, Bob?”

“What am I thinking?”

Drozin scanned his mind and found out his boss had downloaded something.  But all he knew was that it was from an adult website.  None of the images were discovered. 

“I know you downloaded something embarrassing.  I just don’t know what it is.” 

“Good.  I guess it’s safe to see my mistress Betty–  Oops.”

Drozinshivered since he read the image of Betty Davis as Baby Jane from the movie she did with Joan Crawford.

“Good night.  See you Monday.”

“Bring me back something from the netherworld.”

“I’ll try.”

Drozin went back to the water tunnel work-site and vibrated himself into the cavern.  From there he went back to the tunnel that was off limits to investigation.  He hyperaccelerated himself to 20,000 times normal speed.  He was too fast for the sonic alarm to be activated.  

At the end of the tunnel was an elevator which hadn’t been used in ages.  Drozin vibrated himself to enter the elevator without opening the doors in case the alarm would go off.  The light inside the car flickered to life and the control panel also lit up.  The language was alien.  But he knew the elevator controls had to be similar to what was used around the world. 

His delay prompted the elevator to go into vocal mode.  But since he couldn’t understand the language, he stood there like an idiot staring at the control panel. 

A few moments of silence passed. 

“Greetings,” said a female voice.   “I am the lift controls for this unit.  Where do you wish to go?”

“I’d like to go to the bottom of the shaft.  Is that where an underground installation is located?”

“You mean New Drantis.  I must warn you that there are dangerous areas you must not enter.”

“Radiation?”

“Yes.  Also, due to molecular decay, many objects are in a weakened state.  Be careful with what you handle and don’t hyperaccelerate yourself too fast.  The stress can damage too many objects.”

The elevator had scanned Drozin’s mind and spoke to him in English.  As the car was descending, Drozin asked the computer some things.
