Mr. Amazing needs to rescue his boss from kidnappers who think he knows more than he is letting on.

With the success of Wow since Drozin started turning out 3-D novels that caused readers to say wow when they opened the books, people asked Bob Turner how he came up with this unique type of magazine.  He would feed the interviewers such lies as researchers at MIT or Cal Tech came up with the idea.  Or sometimes he would say he had always been interested in high tech gadgets and the concept had been rattling around in his brain since he was a kid.  With more of the other writers having their novels turned into holographic 3-D, the attention was steadily being removed from Drozin.

One day, Bob received a call from someone who wanted to interview him at ”Fox and Friends.”  The interview would be around ten minutes until seven, so he had to be in the greenroom no later than 6:30.  He agreed to the interview and drove into a parking garage near the Fox News Network building on the Avenue of the Americas in his electric sports car which wasn’t hard to spot on the roads and streets.

When the hatch popped open, someone with Fox News ID approached him and said, “Good morning, sir.  I’m with the ‘Fox and Friends’ show.”

They shook hands and headed toward the street.  Bob began to feel a little funny and nearly fainted.  That was when a car pulled up and a man jumped out of the back seat.  He shoved Bob into the car and sat beside him as the fake removed his pair of latex gloves and dropped them in a can of acid where they dissolved.  The man closed the can and placed it in the trunk before jumping into the front with the driver.

When the car came up to the attendant, the driver sprayed him with something that caused him to collapse.  Seconds later, the car was out on the street and heading away from the scene toward Westchester County.  Since the producer of “Fox and Friends” didn’t want to have Bob interviewed, no one knew anything was wrong until the people who came in early at Wow didn’t see him enter his office around 7:30 which was his practice.  But by 8:30, people became worried enough to call his house.

After three rings the receptionist heard, “I’m too sick to come in.  Have Drake run the office today.  I don’t know if I’ll be well enough to come in tomorrow.  I’ll try.”  He coughed for a while before saying, “Tell Drake to be up to my standards when reviewing novels.  I might be gone for the day.  But I don’t expect a slip in quality. Talk with you later.  Bye.”
