Drozin needs to stop the descendants of leprechauns from stealing the gold stored in the gold depository below the streets of New York City.
“You didn’t know my grandson all that well,” said Sean. “He wasn’t an evil man. He was just too American. He wanted the same things humans want and was frustrated that he was always looked upon as a freak.”
“How old are you?”
“I will be 275 years old come December,” Sean proclaimed. ”Without a coin, it looks like I may not see 300. I can’t return to the kingdom without it. And then I would have to leave my dear wife and sons and their families. It looks like I’ll never see the kingdom ever again. I will forever be a lost soul.”
Drozin pulled four coins out of his pocket and handed them to Sean whose face lit up with joy.
“You are indeed blessed.”
“Father, Rufus and our families wish to stay here in this country. We are Americans and proud of it. We barely remember the kingdom,” said Sean’s son Michael who was Angus’ uncle.
“If they aren’t going to return to the kingdom, maybe I should hand back two of the coins,” Sean suggested.
“Keep them. I was able to form them after I sent his gang members off to where they wanted to live. I read Angus’ mind when we were in the pub. I’m surprised he didn’t get it right?”
“Angus was impatient. He knew there needed to be extra refining. But he thought he could make shortcuts. It cost him his life,” Sean complained.
“Actually, he made the coins correctly despite skipping some steps. He just thought he could become immortal and didn’t deserve the honor.”
“We know you are not as leprechaun. But we will always consider you, Mr. Amazing, having a leprechaun heart. Since you have been given some of the most precious material ever created, make sure you never lose it like I lost our coins.”
“Don’t worry. Nothing will take it from Kanfibulac Mansion. When Mr. Amazing gives his word, he keeps it.”
