Well, it’s been around 2 years since i started to learn much about IT technology and now i’m going to tell about my aspiration to IT technology. It actually started back around 2006 when i was using my mothers computer. That was the year i first found the website ‘Youtube’. Then on i saw so many videos about probably guides,comedy and so on. Then i realized that this website could actually help me with my school work. In school those days, i knew many things in Microsoft Office, especially Powerpoint where i used Powerpoint to make sort of my own mini-cartoons by collecting images and putting custom animations on those images in Powerpoint. I kept on doing this till around June 2008. I found out that me and my mother were going to move to Abu Dhabi , UAE from Sri Lanka soon to stay with my father. Just before we left, an idea just suddenly came to me. How about joining Youtube and making my own tutorials. So in July 2 2008, i made the account titled as ‘RVKDawg’. Then i had to get some recording tools and ideas before beginning. I managed to find a program called ‘HyperCam’ and got two ideas. Then on July 7, i made my first two videos, ‘How to play N64 games on your computer’ and ‘How to HyperCam’. I was really excited and my parents loved it. So as the months went by, till around December 2008, i posted a total of 73 videos, 363 subscribers making my account a bit successful. But they weren’t easy. Having a very slow laptop from around 2004 was a big problem but i managed it. But in December, we had to visit my hometown in Sri Lanka for a holiday. There i had no Internet yet. So i had a good time and at the airport in January 3 2009, i got free internet acess and checked my account. Unfortunately, when i returned home and 10 days later, i went to my laptop to check my account and i recieved news i never was to expect. My account was disabled. Putting my hard work all this time for this and this is what i get. I was deeply upset that this happened and made me stop my IT aspiration

That was until February 2009, my friend reminded me of my Youtube account and said that if you love IT and want to share your ideas, don’t give up on it. That was when i thought of returning to Youtube. I asked my mother if i could do that and she says that it’s not upto her, it’s upto me to decide since it’s my dream, and so, i made up my mind. I will make another account in Youtube. So in March 23rd 2009, i posted my first video. Then, some of my old subscribers and friends saw my account and was relieved that i came back. So, i posted more and more videos until May 2009 where i recived the greatest achievement i’ve ever done. Getting 3 honor awards in Youtube for Most Viewed video which i came in different positions. 19th,23rd and even 5th. This made my account even more successful. The weirdest thing after that happened is that now my IT teacher asks me questions as if i’m the teacher at times. He even asked me if i could be partner of his group! I was so happy that i was glad to join Youtube. He even asked for a movie editing program so he could make a movie for his family! Later in June, my laptop kept restarting after the boot screen and realized had realized that there was something wrong. So i had the Windows XP CD and repaired it. June 2009 was even better. My 14th birthday was coming up and my parents gave me the greatest news. I was allowed to buy my own PC. I was so happy, we actually bought 10 days after i heard the news. Now that i had a much better computer than the slow laptop, i was able to make much better tutorials. But the only problem was that my Graphics card was not good enough. So i decided get a newer one but i had to wait since i had no money left. Once again in June 25th, i went to Sri Lanka for a holiday and this time, we managed to get broadband internet. So i kept on checking my account and everything but i was mostly cheking about the graphics card. There were many things i had to check, The PCI Express, Power Supply Unit, How to fix it. Researching these topics made me more smarter in IT. On July 25th, 5 days after my birthday, my aunt took me to computer shops still in Sri Lanka and i saw a huge collection of Graphics card, cheaper than in Abu Dhabi! I actually wanted to buy immediately but i had to ask my mother first. My mother said to buy from Abu Dhabi because they have originals. She was right by the way. We decided to give the laptop to my aunt since she has a Pentium II PC still. So i formated the hard disk and installed Windows XP again. I downloaded all the drivers and programs needed for her. I copied all her mail contacts to this laptop. I did everything but currently at the moment, there’s something wrong with the CD Drive. It only reads DVD’s and not CD’s so i’m currently trying to fix it. But then in August, i recieved bad news, that i was angry than ever. Myaccount got banned, AGAIN! I really don’t get it. I really wanted to stop this Youtube stuff but i just can’t because it’s what i always do.
