Characters

Derell-The father of Steph. He has an agreement with Dan who’s away in L.A. expanding his business.

Derell and Dan have a contract that when he marries Jaz they will bind Jaz’s and Dan business together. Bringing him more money than he could never have made alone.

Joanne-The mother of Jaz. A heartless women who marries Derell for his money. She hate His daughter Steph to the core. Steph has found out a dirty secret and Joanne will go to extreme to keep that secret hidden from her husband. And on top of all she’s Black mailing Steph on a secret that will destroy her life.

Jaz- Jaz is engaged to Dan.

Jaz inherited her business from her grand father. He gave her fully control over it because he didn’t want her Mother to control it. Her step grandfather doesn’t like her very much and knows that Joanne is a gold digger. He knew that if he left the business to his son, Joanne would control all the money. So he left it in a place where neither one of them could have control over it. Jaz and her mother haven’t gotten along for years. So this was not a problem. She love Derell as her own father. Jaz finds herself head over heels with this new man sent to retrieve her named Manuen.

Steph- Is married to Mark. At the beginning she puts on this act as if she is happily married. But in reality she is not getting the thrill that she wants. Steph has found a new lover to ease her adventurous rush. On top of all and all she leads a double life and whole new identity in the prosses. She strive’s to get along with Jaz. Trying to keep her step mother from gaining the riches her father has to give. she proposes the plan that her and Jaz runs the business together, even though she is still in awe that her grandfather willed their company to a step child.

Dan- Dan is engaged to Jaz. But five years in L.A has left him feeling no love for Jaz any longer. So he fills his life with different women. He would break off the engagement but the contract he has with Derell leaves him willing to put on a show for Jaz’s money also. So instead of coming to retrieve his betrothed bride he sends an assistant to retrieve her. He sends him off on his journey with plenty of cash to support him and tells him to stall and take as long as he wants.

Manuen- Manuen is the assistant sent to retrieve Jaz. When he get to the ball that Jaz’s family has thrown as sort of an engagement party he. falls in love with her. But to keep his job he tries to keep his distance.
