We have been friends for 15 years. When we first started hanging out together, we would party,club, and drink more than we should. And we really did have fun as best friends. But that is what some teenagers do. I didn’t realize she had a problem until we got in our late 20s. Every time I went looking for her to hang out and do stuff with me, I could never find her. Whenever I talked to her again, we never brought it back up that I couldn’t find her, we would just catch up where we left off. Come to find out, she would be behind the liquor store, DRUNK. Now, I still drink(don’t get me wrong), but I am almost 40 and I can’t even try to stomach the alcohol that I did back then. She says that I want her to be like me and slow down because I have slowed down, but in reality she has a problem. I have even tried to get her to got into rehab. I agreed to put off everything and go with her. Well the lady on the phone said that I did not qualify for their program, but sent someone to pick her up. They took her to a MENTAL INSTITUTE instead of rehab! After being there overnight, they were convince that she was in the wrong place. So they paid for her to come back home. Yes… back home. And she has been drunk every since. I am just so scared that she will be found somewhere, someday after it is too late
