About my dog, his nature, things he does how much we love him.

Last year our friends dog had pups. They were chow pups and we ended up picking one that was all white. He was so cute and compared to the rest the runt of the bunch. He was just so adorable and soft. He quickly started growing and the more he grew we could see that he was mixed and later found out he has lab in him also. He was very smart right away he learned commands just after teaching them to him a few times. I just really cant believe how smart he is. He will shake your hand and give high five. He lays down and sits and will bring you his bowel when he is hungry or even if you ask him to. He is now a year old and he is a huge 75 pounds. He likes to think he is my boss and listens mostly to my boyfriend. He does not do well when strangers come around at all. Anyone that has been around him Alot does not bother him but I don’t let him in around people he don’t know because he gets very protective. He loves to be loved on and he loves to give big wet kisses and looks like a big polar bear but he also has a side to him that lets strangers know he is not always so nice. People tell me that this is a chows nature but I have never had a chow before him so I am learning Alot from him to. He loves to swim and play in hose water. He has his own pool in the summer that he lounges in for hours. His big problem though is that he chews everything he sees and loves to mark his territory on places that I would rather he dint. He loves to mark my couch, my wall in the hallway, and my chair legs. We had to give him his own room at night time or on cold days or days that are to hot outside. He has a huge room of his own in our house where he stays when we cant watch him or we are gone. He chewed a hole through one wall and we just have had a tough time breaking him of this. All in all he is a truly lovable wonderful dog and a pleasure to have, I guess the baby in him still makes him want to chew things and hope he grows out of it. That is my chow story.
