Nicola walked down the memory lane to her good old school days which she shared with her girl pals. It was full of laughter and fun but it was also quite challenging surviving in a missionary school ruled by the sisters.

Nicola sat near the window of the Margarita’s Cafe slowing sipping hot cappuccino to her heart’s contents while occasionally looking at the local newspapers. She took one look at her gold watch and she realised that Flora, Kelly and Clara have been late again..oh, they are probably busy with their children or families…She decided to be patient…

“I did not do it!” cried Nicola.

“What is that in your mouth..is that a sweet?! Spit it out you little rascal…” scolded Sister Ada.

Nicola’s hand was spanked by a thick ruler and it did hurt quite badly. She should not have gone to the library to meet her friends. Flora insisted that they gather in the library’s cafe to talk about the Play. Nicola was so hungry that she had to eat something on the way back to the classroom.

“You are just unlucky that Sister Ada was around..” explained Kelly. Kelly is a very slim prefect and she is also quite clever. She always gets praises from all the teachers for being responsible and excellent in her studies.

“Okay, girls! It is SPOT CHECK day..please show your nails and petticoats,” shouted Kelly. Flora has forgotten to wear her petticoat and thus she decided to sneak out to the next classroom to borrow one. It was too late, she was confronted by Kelly and she was thus given 5 demerit points.

“Oh, Flora! Please forget about the past….my daughter is now studying at St. Margaret’s and she is going through all those horrible incidents that you and I have to experience those days!” retorted Kelly at Flora.

Flora was not as bright as Kelly but she is certainly the most well-off of all now. Flora left school after her “O” levels and never went to University but she did a course in Fashion Designing and started her own fashion line. Her brand name Flora Fashion has adorned many departmental stores and she is also thinking of starting her own design school. Kelly is seething with jealousy and she hasn’t quite forgiven Flora for exposing her cheekiness in presenting a frog to Sister Ada.
