A short interesting story of fantasy, victory and fun….

i awoke to the warm glow of sunshine, sat up from my bed and stretched my energised body. i got up and got dressed and then proceeded to pack my soccer gear when all of a sudden i heard my mother’s call, “breakfast is ready son”, i finished packing my gear and ran downstairs to a hearty breakfast. “good luck today son” she siad, “thanks ma” i said inbetween chewing my breakfast. i finished up and said my goodbye’s. i waited outside for the driver to pass. shortly i heard a car coming and i jumped up and ran to the gate. it was him, it was Steven Gerrard in his Bentley. the car stopped and tha window rolled down. out popped a familiar head that i watched all my life on television, and finally i was going in his car to the big game today between Liverpool and Man United (just in case you havn’t guessed already i am going to be playing today, hopefully). Gerrard started the conversation “hi mate, how are you feeling about the game today?”, “nervous” i said. “dont be, its going to be fine, your well capable of performing so just relax and soak it all in”, “ok” i said and i sat back and relaxed on the journey to anfield.

we arrived at anfield and we could hear the crowd singing the anthem already. “you’ll never walk alone” rang through my ears as we all entered the dressing rooms. i met all my stars as we got changed and prepared for the game. words of advice flew across the room from every corner and all i could do was stand there with my jaw dropped as these mega-stars took time from their preparations to help me out. after the warm-up we returned to the dressing rooms to complete our team talk and all the other preparations needed. in came rafa benitez and he spoke of victory and the premiership. i took it all in and was so happy to be there. we all got ready to go, we moved out of the dressing room to the dug-out alongside the united players. we all stood tall as our names were called out over the intercom then suddenly came the signal to run onto the pitch. i ran out and joined the other substitutes on the bench and awaited my turn to play.
