The follow up to "My First Day I". About my first day at my dream job.

Consider this the part II of “My First Day.” After that craziness everything started looking up for me. I’ve been working there now for a little over a month now and I still love it! I literally thank God everyday for the opportunity to be able to do what I am doing.

So as you know the movers held on to my personal items for well over a month. So my first week or so I stayed in a hotel then I finally got the keys to my apartment after paying them an arm and leg to get everything situated. So an arm and a leg later I realize that I don’t have anything. I have an apartment with no food and no furniture. So I consolidate all my money into one account. I’m talking I’m maxing out credit cards and putting all my cash into this one account. Now this all this money is still not enough for me to live the way that I have been used to for the last few years, so I play it safe. I only get essentials. [See: “This Little Piggy Went to the Food Store”]

So I’m skipping bills, not answering the phone for bill collectors and everything… the whole nine yards. So as all of my friends know, I’ve been interviewing literally all summer looking for my dream job. And I didn’t just stay in the Virginia Beach area, I went nationally but looking internationally. Anyway point of the story is that my bank, Wells Fargo, calls me with an automated message saying that because my card had been used so often and sporadically all over the country that it was flagged for fraudulent usage. So they were going to send me a replacement card and freeze my account assets as of the 14th of August until the card was activated, I believe. Well I got that message on the 16th of August. So I call my roommate to see if she can over night that card to me so I can get to my money. She says nothing like that came in the mail for me. Then I realize… I never changed my mailing information with that bank. They mailed it to Fallon, Nevada, location that I have not lived at in almost 3 years. So yea, I tell my mom and grandma the story. Thank God for family! They send me some money until I get that situated out.
